About the Boeing 767

"The reliable wide-body that opened up transatlantic travel!"

The Boeing 767 was the first wide-body twin-engine jet approved to fly long ocean crossings. Before the 767, regulations required 3 or 4 engines for overwater flights. The 767 proved two engines were safe enough, opening up cheaper transatlantic routes for everyone.
