About the Airbus A340
The Airbus A340 is a four-engine wide-body jet designed for ultra-long-haul routes. It was built at a time when regulations required four engines for very long ocean crossings. Although it's no longer in production, it holds a special place in aviation history β Airbus used an A340 to set a world record for the longest non-stop test flight.
